The True-Tone Model D-727 was marketed through Western Auto stores in 1937.  The
radio was manufactured by Detrola Radio Corp (chassis 175-E).  We located the radio at
an estate sale and have recently restored the radio.  The radio has two short-wave bands
in addition to the AM broadcast band.  Eight stations can be preset with a push-button,
motor-driven, frequency selection  device.  The radio also incorporates the 30s era green
tunning eye designed to fine-tune the station.
